• “Shruti Smruti Purananam Alayam Karunalayam Namami Bhagavatpada Shankaram Loka Shankaram.” (I bow to the compassionate Bhagavatpada Shankara, the abode of Vedas, Shastras, and Puranas, who is the benefactor of the world.)

• To all devotees of the Lord,

• Our Mother India is a land of virtue.

• The land is home to numerous holy rivers, sacred pilgrimage sites, towering peaks, and vast forests where the eternal Vedic Dharma has flourished. Whenever circumstances arose that were contrary to this Dharma, the Supreme Being took many incarnations. In this land, purified by the teachings of many righteous souls, during a time when the lives of people were in turmoil due to the influence of Buddhist, Jain, Kapalika, Charvaka, and heretical sects—

• In the 7th century A.D., in a village named Kalady in Kerala, the great Shankara was born as Adi Shankara to the virtuous couple Aryamba and Shivaguru in a Nambudri Brahmin family.

• He took Sannyasa (renunciation) at the age of five. He became a disciple of the great ascetic Govindapada on the banks of the Narmada and mastered many disciplines. He had the vision of Lord Vishweshwara in Kashi. On the banks of the Ganges, he wrote commentaries (Bhashyas) on the Brahma Sutras, Upanishads, and the Bhagavad Gita, based on the Advaita philosophy. Prepared to propagate this to the world, he began a debate with Mandana Mishra of Mahishmati. Appointing Ubhaya Bharati as the judge, he defeated Mandana Mishra in the debate. He gave him Sannyasa initiation with the name Sureshwaracharya and accepted him as his disciple. He also accepted disciples like Padmapada, Hastamalaka, and Totakacharya. With the intent to revive the eternal Vedic Dharma, he established four Peethas in the four corners of India based on the four Mahavakyas.

• He composed many treatises and hymns, imparted knowledge to his disciples, and reached Kailash via Kedarnath in his thirty-second year.

• Among the four Peethas established by Adi Shankara, the crown jewel is the Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sharada Peetham.

• The first Guru of this Peetham was Sureshwaracharya.

• In this lineage of Jagadgurus, the current 36th and 37th Peethadhipatis are Paramahamsa Parivrajakacharya Sri Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswami and his successor, Sri Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Swamiji. They walk this earth, propagating Sanatana Dharma, explaining the greatness of divine worship, resolving the spiritual doubts of many, and blessing us with the fortune of serving at their lotus feet.

• I offer them my humble prostrations a hundred thousand times.

• I, Mokshagundam Venkata Subbayya Sharma of the Bharadvaja Gotra, built the Sri Lalita Tripurasundari Temple thirty years ago in Doctors’ Colony, Parthasarathi Nagar, Kurnool. With the help and cooperation of my close devotees, I have been performing various Chandi Havanams and Mahanyasa Purvaka Mahalingarchanas, worshipping the Mother to the best of my ability.

• On Saturday, May 4, 2024 (Chaitra Bahula Ekadashi of the Sri Krodhi Nama year), I had the darshan of the Jagadgurus of the Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham. I placed a letter at their feet, requesting them to visit this temple and perform the Kumbabhishekam with their holy hands, hoping to elevate the status of this temple.

• Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Mahaswami read the entire letter, learned about the nature of the Vedic rituals performed here, and with a pleased heart, blessed us by saying, “We will come to the temple and perform the Kumbabhishekam.” Offering his blessings, he instructed us to continue our daily worship.

• Considering their words as divine grace, we have resolved to fulfill these tasks.

• Inspired by the Mother Sharada and the Jagadgurus, I am providing this pamphlet to you, the followers of Sanatana Dharma, so that the rituals we are continuing (daily Sri Chakra Navavarana Archana, Rudra Homam, and Chandi Havanams on every Pournami and Amavasya) may continue uninterrupted.

• As the saying goes, “Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah” (Dharma protects those who protect it), we hope that everyone will support this Vedic Dharma and become recipients of the grace of Mother Sharada and the Jagadgurus.
